Connect Claude

Use a remote custom connector in Claude on the web or the Chat tab of Claude Desktop. For the Code tab, use Connect Claude Code.

Claude Free permits one custom connector. For a team, an owner must add the connector before members connect their own accounts. Remote requests run from Anthropic’s cloud, including in Desktop Chat, so use the HTTPS URL below. See Claude’s custom connector guide.

  1. Open Customize → Connectors and choose Add custom connector (under Add if shown).
  2. Enter Monomer as the name and https://api.monomer.cc/mcp as the remote MCP server URL.
  3. Choose Continue, then select Sign in now, even if No sign-in is marked Detected.
  4. Keep Use Claude’s published identity (CIMD) selected and choose Add.
  5. Choose Connect and complete the Monomer sign-in flow.
  6. For Desktop, choose Open desktop app if the browser does not return you automatically. Confirm that Monomer shows Connected and a Tools list.
  7. In a conversation, open + → Connectors and enable Monomer.

The Claude connector authentication guide describes automatic CIMD discovery when the server advertises CIMD and public-client authentication, as Monomer does.

Run the Workspace access check in that conversation. For login or missing-workspace problems, follow troubleshooting.

After connecting, follow Direct your agent to read resources, follow availableOperations, and fetch input schemas with monomer_describe.
