What's new
Changes to Monomer you can see and use, newest first.
October 2026
Section titled “October 2026”Try Monomer without a warehouse
Section titled “Try Monomer without a warehouse”- Organization Admins can choose Explore sample data on a Workspace’s Overview to set up Acme Cloud (sample): a fictional SaaS company with read-only data, shared metrics, and four dashboards for board metrics, revenue movements, customer segments, and product engagement. Connect your agent and ask it about the sample, build dashboards, and edit metrics, then connect your own warehouse when you are ready. See Start with sample data.
Agents
Section titled “Agents”- Your settings → Agents is the place to connect an agent: it shows the server address for your environment, short steps for each client, and your connections grouped by app with when each was last used and when it expires. Select Revoke to end a connection. See Connect an agent.
- Work done through an agent shows the person and the app, such as Updated by Sam Kim via Claude, on dashboards, Pages, semantic models, metrics, and runs. In Live activity and Recent activity on Overview, the app is a badge on the person’s avatar: the Claude, OpenAI, or Cursor logo when Monomer verified the app’s host as claude.ai, chatgpt.com, or cursor.com, and otherwise a terminal badge with the app’s host (or its name, or agent) under the name. The Agents filter lists this work. See Direct your agent.
- When an agent’s request needs a higher role, Monomer tells it which role is needed, which role you have, and which Workspace Owners to ask, so the agent can tell you whom to ask. See Errors.
Dashboards
Section titled “Dashboards”- Review draft names who last changed a dashboard’s draft and through which app. Discard changes drops the draft and returns to the applied dashboard. See Review and apply dashboard changes.
Finding your way
Section titled “Finding your way”- Overview is now your Workspace’s home: Needs attention shows failed connector refreshes, drafts waiting to be applied, and your recently failed questions; Live activity lists the questions, dashboard runs, and Catalog refreshes running now, and appears only while something runs; Get started checks off six setup steps from what the Workspace already has. See Use Overview.
- Activity, in the sidebar, lists who ran what in the Workspace: running work first, then finished runs and changes, each with the person and the agent app they used. Choose All, Mine, or Agents, and share the page’s address with your team. See Use Overview.
- The workspace switcher shows each Workspace’s Organization and your role, and the Workspaces page lists every Workspace you can open, grouped by Organization. See Find and switch Workspaces.
- Search finds dashboards, Pages, metrics, semantic models, and tables, and jumps to any screen. Press ⌘K, or Ctrl K on Windows and Linux. See Search a Workspace.
Data, models, and analysis
Section titled “Data, models, and analysis”- Each Workspace has a Reporting time zone,
UTCby default, that Owners and Organization Admins set in Settings → General. Metric results group days, weeks, and months in that zone, return day-level and coarser times as dates such as2026-08-03, and start weeks on Monday on every warehouse. Time filters are read in the same zone, and results name the zone they used. Semantic models can declare a time field’s kind astimeKindwhen Monomer can’t infer it from the column type. See Time zones and dates. - After you add a connector, Catalog opens the table chooser. Choose Save and refresh to load the tables, and use Find table to search loaded tables and columns. Owners can now delete a connector. See Add a warehouse connection and Select and refresh catalog metadata.
- The semantic model and metric editors show a Check panel that tests a definition against the Catalog and your saved definitions before you save it. See Describe a table.
- In Explore, a run’s result appears under the question, and opening a past run restores its question. A run whose result has expired still opens with its question and SQL. See Work with query results.
