Search a Workspace
Search finds things in the current Workspace and takes you to any screen. It needs the Explorer role or higher.
Open search
Section titled “Open search”Select Search near the bottom of the sidebar, above Settings and Help, whether the sidebar shows the Workspace or Pages, or press ⌘K on a Mac (Ctrl K on Windows and Linux) from anywhere in the Workspace. On a small screen, use the search icon in the top bar.
What it finds
Section titled “What it finds”Type part of a name. Results appear in groups, up to five each:
- Dashboards
- Pages
- Metrics
- Semantic models
- Tables loaded into Catalog
Search matches names and labels, descriptions, and field or column names; Pages match by title. It doesn’t search the contents of documents or query results. Under Go to, it also lists the Workspace’s screens: Overview, Pages, Connectors, Catalog, Semantics, Lineage, Explore, Dashboards, and Settings if you manage the Workspace.
Use the keyboard
Section titled “Use the keyboard”Use ↑ and ↓ to move through results, ↵ to open one, and Esc to close search and return to where you were.
If search couldn’t load, Go to still works; select Retry to search again. To search inside one screen, use its own search, such as Find table in Catalog.
This search covers the app. To search these docs, use Search docs at the top of any documentation page.
