Troubleshoot a blocked task

Start with the workspace, resource, and last action. Preserve the visible error and request or run reference before retrying.

SymptomNext check
Workspace missingConfirm the signed-in account and direct workspace membership. Accept an outstanding Organization invitation first.
Create or edit action missingAsk an Owner to check your Workspace role: Explorer for Dashboards and Pages, Editor for Semantic definitions and Catalog selection, or Owner for Connectors and settings.
Connector saves but cannot be usedCheck the endpoint, TLS settings, complete credential, warehouse grants, and network reachability from Monomer.
Table or column missingCheck the Catalog selection and Recent refreshes, then refresh after a source schema change.
Metric or grouping missingCheck the selected connector, metric definition, model dimensions, and matching entities.
Query access deniedConfirm an Explorer-or-higher Workspace role, the selected Workspace and Connector, then check warehouse-side grants.
Query accepted but no resultInspect the run state. Queued and running work has not completed; inspect the final error if it fails.
Empty or surprising numbersCheck period boundaries, filters, row limit, metric meaning, row grain, and join-key uniqueness. Compare a small known period.
Dashboard edit not visibleOpen Review draft: Unapplied changes names who last changed the draft. Choose Apply, then Run again or Change inputs to open results for the new definition.
Agent says it needs a roleThe agent’s 403 names the required role, your current role, and the Workspace Owners to ask. Ask one of them to change your role; the agent can’t change its own.
Draft revision conflictRead the latest draft, inspect intervening changes, and retry the reviewed edit with its returned revision.
Result download unavailableCheck the Available until time and current access. An expired result still reopens its query; run it again to get a new result.
Document upload failedCheck the selected format and 20 MiB file limit. Use the upload’s completion retry when the file was already uploaded.
Agent login failed or expiredRestart authorization from the MCP client and complete the new flow in the intended browser account.

Retry after correcting the cause. Before resubmitting a create operation with an uncertain outcome, inspect the resource list. Before starting another refresh, inspect the active refresh. Before rerunning a query, check whether the earlier run is still active.

If work remains blocked, ask your administrator or contact Monomer. Include the task, non-sensitive workspace and resource references, approximate time, visible error, and request/run reference. Include the steps needed to reproduce it with non-sensitive inputs. Exclude tokens, passwords, service account keys, private download links, and sensitive query results.
